How Many Different Kinds of Coffee Are There?

There are more than 100 kinds of coffee which are sold by the coffee producers - these - divided into 3 basic groups - The Brazils, The Milds - which include all Coffee Arabica grown outside from Brazil, and the Robustas. Most coffee we know - is named after the region from where it is grown or exported out from. For example Mocha is named for the port of Mocha (Al Mukha) in Yemen. Java grows near and in Java - which is now part of Indonesia.

There is great importance placed by the coffee bean roasters, on the taste of the blends they have to offer. These sometimes include herbs or other additives - like chicory - which is a herb commonly known to be added to coffee blends.

We all know that coffee contains caffeine - a stimulant substance tot he nervous system. There maybe some people who are not able to have caffeine so they may choose decaffeinated kinds of coffee - which may be a little better for them. The way that you actually remove the caffeine from the coffee - is with cold water extraction - this is done with the help of chemicals. more....

Leading the Coffee Growing Countries, according to World Book Encyclopedia 2008 -
Brazil at #1 with a production of 2,211,000,000 kilos followed by
Vietnam - 873,000,000 kilos
Indonesia - 716,000,000
Colombia - 686,000,000
Mexico - 311,000,000
AND
India - 275,000,000

The drink coffee is made from the Fresh Roasted, ground beans from the the coffee bush. It is the most popular drink around the world. Rich coffee aroma adds pleasure just as much as drinking it does. The coffee break has become part of the business world.
The U/States ranks the largest consumer of coffee with the quantity drank at about 350 millions of cups every day - that is 1.25 Billion kilos from all the coffee that is produced in the world - just by the Americans. Amazing!
One group which collects some info and stats is the "International Coffee Organisation", say that the other coffee drinking countries include Brazil, who is the producer of a quarter of the world's crop - France - Germany - Italy and Japan. However people in the Scandinavian countries and there abouts - Belgium - Denmark - Finland etc. Sweden inclusive - drink the most coffee per individual. More....

Coffee Art has been around for some time but only late 1900 and recently has it become such an art form.
While doing research for coffee information I came across this great Coffee Art Video of "Coffee Barista".
I just find it amazing who ever thought about these things. I guess making coffee for all types of people - you need to put a smile on as many people's face as you can. Good Job to all the artistic Coffee Baristas out there.
